So, Lately I decided to quit paintball. Totally breaking the bank and me constantly dumping money into my car hasn't helped. Cars are my number 1. So it has to be some what cheap. Just something I can buy and not have to worry about spending more and more money. Im very athletic but I have decided to drop all my sports accept swimming. So when im not at Car meets, Or practice or school. Im bored out of my mind. I just need something to waste some enegry on. I've done almost every extream sport at a younger age. Im willing to go back. I just want some ideas

Basketball/Soccer.

I feel like you should be picking a sport that you want to do, not having us do this for you...

Ehh. well thats cool but is there many places in Ohio ? I played both in high school basketball/soccer. I mean like rec.

You can find man-made places to "extreme kayak"...

Like a concrete slope that got rained on or has some hoses pointed down on. My friend does it. wear a helmet.

Ohhhh. sounds intense. haha. Kayaks are expensive though..

It's a one time purchase though. If you break a kayak, i'm willing to bet you won't be doing it again anytime too soon. Especially after watching my same friend do some of his tricks.

Resistance training and cardio. You don't necessarily need a sport, just something to keep you moving. Plus, you only look better as time goes on, you don't just look the same as when you started.

I was tempted to try free running. Im decent at the type of stuff. I mean wideout in football and stuff like that kinda helps.

Free running is fun as hell, I traced with PK Cali before over at UCLA. Just know that it's really body intensive, and it'll **** your knees up pretty quick. Regardless, you'll NEED resistance training to do it. Your muscles will NOT be able to cope with the stresses of being a traceur if you don't train them. Seriously. At the VERY LEAST:

Push-ups (as many different forms as you know to help out all your muscle groups)
Dips
Pull-up's
Vertical pulls (basically, hang a strap or towel off a pull up bar, put your feet up on a chair or something, and then pull yourself up like an upside down push up).

Besides that, concentrate on plyometrics, work with a jump rope, and practice your vertical leap.

It takes a lot of time investment, practice, and you will get injured a lot in the beginning. A lot. Trust me, I cant emphasize this enough. I've blown out knees from improper landings when I was getting used to them, slammed my knee against rails doing kongs, gashed my hand open doing a wall run when I grabbed the top of the ledge, among other things. But if you stick to it, you'll make it.

Wow thanks for the imput man, alot of help

I work out daily at the gym. So I might be half way. I probably should still build up my Knee/Leg strength. I've messed around in my yard. You know like Monkey vaults and speed vaults and like you know, The basics. And i ate it pretty hard a few times just doing that.

**** man. Squats are probably the most important workout you could possibly do. No joke, do squats religiously. They workout your entire body, and it's something I would never skip in my workout routine. Deadlifts are great for your core, too. They'll strengthen your core to help you out with explosive jumps. I would suggest working out your muscle groups in order of importance:

core (most important for free running)
lower body
upper body (least important)

Don't take that the wrong way when I say your upper body is least important, I mean that you won't be relying on your arms as much for landings and jumps as you will your legs, duh. However, it's still VERY important to work out your shoulders, chest, triceps, and your back and biceps.

My advice is watching tutorials on YouTube, they'll help you out a **** ton with your form. A good friend told me once that if you can successfully hold a flag pole for at least 15 seconds, you're in good enough shape to seriously start getting into parkour doing the more technical moves. It takes a lot of training though, so don't slack off.

It's quite simple really, you grow long hair, say "bro" a lot, move to Maryland or longisland or Illinois (haha), go to a private school, wear sperrys and collared shirts and you're in

i live in ohio, all the kids on my public school's lacrosse team have short hair, and have a more casual dress style, t shirt and shorts mainly. no wonder we only won 1 game

and frisbee golf is where its at
