I've been living in the French Quarter for the last three months, as well as work at an upscale creole restaurant. So yes, I have had it.

I am such an ******* for not having some in a while.

When you're at Jackson Square, you just have to get some.
One of my best memories was eating beignet on a park bench watching the pigeons go nuts over the powdered sugar on the ground.

There was a Café Du Monde outside one of the huge train stations in Tokyo. Made me chuckle.

Who doesn't love fried dough and chicory in their coffee.
One of the few places I found that carries Cafe du Monde coffee locally is an Asian market. An odd coincidence no doubt.

I'm afraid New Orleans isn't the same New Orleans described in The Moviegoer.

Haha, too late my friend. I moved back to Michigan last week (my externship was up)
Also, Tony's is pretty good, but I prefer making my own. Tony's has too much salt in it, and I like to season with creole seasoning pretty liberally. When I make it myself, it has similar ingredients and all, but far much less salt.
