Hi, i would like to get into pump, but should i get a SL68 or CCI Phantom?

it depends on if you are one to customize your stuff or want something a little flashier. there are more options for the phantom as far as upgrades or changing the look goes. if you are a no frills kind of person a sl68 may be perfect for you.

my advice is to give them both a try at a local shop or field. you'll know what's right for you.

You more than likely we be naturally more comfortable with a SL68 or a used sniper.

figure out your funds first
then look at guns with in price range
cci phantoms great guns-lots of mods and upgrades
lapco grey ghosts- pricey but worth it now offer a vert feed
tippman sl682- work horse always
snipers- lots of mods and set ups also largest price range-used to new
ccm- S6/T2/J2L- prob most expensive but worth every penny

have owned or currently owned all above mentioned. remember what one likes one may not. check your local store and field and try some guns out to see whats right for you

Buy an S5 and never look back.

Playing open class pump play with a sniper is probably the closest thing you can get to playing semi, so the transition should be easier. Plus, if pump's not for you, put some pneus on it and bam; you got an Autococker.

I currently shoot a phantom and have been for the past 5 years. I have very limited experience with the SL-68II, but I still feel confident recommending you go with a Phantom. If you decide to go the open class route, CCM (s5, s6, j2, t2) would be the way to go in my opinion.

depends what you like the feel of and how much ching u want to drop. sl682's are alright but if your looking for quality go for the phantom. theyre all hand made by ccm which is a one man company. they are higly sought for and are very very well made and offer upgrades. personally i like phnatom over the sl682's because ive owned bothand the phantom fells way nicer and shoots better

phantom all the way many options if your style changes sl68 is awkward to me i thought they were awsome until i picked one up phantom is the way to go azodin kp isnt bad a bit cheaper than phantom i have a kp and a phantom as loaners and back up
