Clone GTi - White LED when trying to power up, what does this mean?
I've had the new GTI board installed. However sometimes the marker won't turn on, instead when I press the power buttons, the LED is white on the board. Sometimes it will turn on as normal, so it appears to be an intermittent issue
As I'm not experienced with MacDev markers (more exposure to PE markers), I thought this could be a battery low warning, however switching to a new high quality battery the marker doesn't turn on every time
Ok what may be happening and I've seen it a few times.
Try this test, loosen the phillips head screw that mounts the board under the trigger. It may be that the speaker was placed wrong and causing it to ground out. If you loosen that screw turn it off and on a bunch of times and see if it happens. If it didn't then tighten the screw and test again. If it dose happen then the speaker will need to be moved a tad bit.
Please let me know your findings so I can walk you through the next step.
Wow! thanks Eric.....it just so happens my new GTi has done this on a number of occasions......thought it was running my battery down while sitting. Anyway would remove the grips and stick a new battery in and it seemed to work. Anyway so I checked the battery I pulled out of it the 2nd time it did this to me and noticed the battery to be good so I knew it had to be something else. I'll check the board screws.....maybe unscrewing the grips removed some of the tension
