Just played my first game of pump ever...
Wow what took me so long!?!?!?!?!? I had the most fun playing i have had in years. I figured nothing like trial by fire so i played my first game of pump ever during yep... you guessed it.. ION at Skirmish USA. I think i am going to stick with pump from now on. I dont have a fancy set up.... Just an Azodin KP with a Proto Primo hopper but it was a blast!

I am in the exact same boat! I the SL-68 II pump and used it with a 50 rd hopper for all of ION. I had no problems at all. I worship pump now. Plus getting people out with a pump is so satisfying.
I think it also helped my snap shooting...

You know, there seems to be more and more of these threads popping out, we should probably make a "Pump testimony" sticky, or something around those lines.

Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.".

I used my 01 vert feed for most of ION. Also picked up a 13/3000 and was getting just about a full halo off of it.

Keep the pump hand strong

Well-tuned, you should be getting a full gravity hopper or Rotor out of it.

I have a KP as well, instead of messing with the line, I got a regulator and put on a mini drop/on off that I had laying around. That way I could just remove the gas thru fore grip, line and ASA as a unit. I hear they use red loctite on those so I decided to circumvent the problem completely.

Yeah, it's better to simply replace non-on/off bottomlines anyway.

Granted. The smallest tank I used with my pump before was my 45/4500, so effeciency was never a big deal. I just did the usual turn the IVG in 2 turns, then turn up the reg to 280fps. It still has the stock springs, hammer and valve in the gun, I never bothered to change them.
