I dont see myself going out of my way to get one of these kits. Other than the fact it says aka on it, there are more than enough other options out there right now. Plus I have a stainless set of freaks so the dw barrel takes care of all that junk.

Without sub-.680 bores, I don't see them selling well.

I agree with everyone else as it is hard to compete with all the other kits on the market and those sizes really need to be smaller.

teh smallest bore i ever really use is the 687. Sometimes I need to go to 684, but thats on rare occasions. The 687 insert has been in the DW barrel for months now and hasnt come out. And even with the 687, sometimes I wish i had a 688. SOmetimes the paint is just slightly a little too tight causing a whip or spinner, but i bet if i had a 688, it would be perfect!

Well that's nice for everyone else who doesn't have this issue, but I can guarantee I'm not the only one. Besides, chances are (from the sound of it) you're only sizing to your seams (or peaks), not the circumference of the ball itself. While it works, it isn't optimal, and that's what I'm all about.

I bet small bore bottlenecks are in our future. I on the other hand dont really care about the whole underbore business. I use a .689 dye one piece on just about every gun I have and have great results all the time.

i open bag of paint
i insert my hand
i grab 4-5 balls
i insert one by one and see

if they all fit nicely, i stick with that bore, if they rolled thru, i step down a bore. if they were all stuck, i go up a bore.

pretty simple, i dont usually have a tool to measure the circumference while im playing pb

Well, unless you're trying to call me a tool, I think you're missing my point.

Jam a ball in, then look through the barrel at a light source. Every sliver of light you see is a vent for air to escape before it helps push the ball out of the barrel, or essentially wasted air.

The bore size actually refers to the diameter of the barrel (and projectile). That is, a 0.68 caliber paintball has a nominal diameter of 0.68 inch...

This has me interested, been after a mechanic autococker for a while, but finding one in good condition that also catches my eye is sort of tricky.

Seriously guys...If AKALMP starts making their Mech line again, we all need to jump on board.

I don't want them to just burn what stock they have left. They need to make a strong entry into the mech and pump/stock market - and stick with it - just like Palmer's has all these years.

...don't forget about Shocktech, they're doing Mech SFL's in small batches again.

Support these companies when you can, it's important !

i wasnt trying to call you a tool. Usually I go from Mech to Electro in a days play. If i underbore too much, ill have soup-in a-barrel. Ive always tried the underboring because everyone always says how good it is, but when i do it too much(esp with electros) i got wingers and zingers that are flying way off target. If i stay at the larger sized insert, the flight path is usually alot straghter without any wingers or zingers.

sure efficeincy is effected, but id rather have a straighter more consistent shot over a few extra shots out of my tank.

Didn't cocker punk test all of this stuff about barrel sizes back in the day and come to the conclusion that your paint size should actually be larger than the barrels bore i.e. it should get stuck pretty good if you drop it in. From what I remember, if the paint was quite a bit smaller than the bore it got bad efficiency but good consistency; if it was the same size then it got bad efficiency and consistency; and if it was bigger it got good efficiency and good consistency.
