Looking for ALICE pack. Any suggestions?

Hey guys,

Want to buy an ALICE pack for training (don't have one now since I turned it in). I know there are some "upgraded" pack designs out there that are a little more comfortable than the older style ones.

If you have another pack suggestions, link it as well, looking for an OD green or tan one (no patterns).

Oh, also looking for a pack that can hold ~80lbs as that's what I plan to up my load to at the end of training.

Thanks guys.

just buy an old LARGE Alice Pack from any number of online stores. I bought mine at traditioncreek.com and the guy hooked me up. They're like 50 bucks and they're tough as nails.

I don't know **** about dick, but if I were to get a ruck... Usarmygear.com, large surplus alice with frame. Throw TT super waist pad on it with eagle industries shoulder straps. The current generation TT super straps are slippery and will not hold any real amount of wieght unless you want to tighten them up every 30 feet. Next get fastex buckles and reinforced stitching in the stress points. Claymore pouch on top of the main flap, radio pouch, rain flap, and a pocket over the three frontal mini snap pouches. Finally, cut a piece of isomat and slide it between the frame and fold It over yourself. You will have a 3foot by 1 foot slice of iso always which is all you need to sleep on. Butt back and shoulders.

Now I'm not speaking with any experience as I have never seen a ruck and am just making things up as I go. Bulk fuel specialist hooah!

I've never used one myself, but my squad leader used to rave about tactical taylor's "MALICE pack", its pricey as **** though so if you're just using it for training its probably overkill.

$294 is a bit steep haha. I can't stand the new MOLLE ****.

This is for training up for (assuming my ADSO goes through) IOBC and RS. Figured I have 4 months (or even more) to get my rucking to a good weight/time/distance ratio so might as well use it to m advantage. I had to turn in my ruck though for this semester

1) Sure
2) But his small size makes his quick and agile to my long lanky arms.

Malice sucs. Heavy cordura, unnecessary floppy pockets excessive pockets ALWAYS lead to the operator realizing "ooh I have extra room" and stuffing unnecesary **** in them. They are expensive as **** and the shoulder straps suck. Follow my above triple post and you'll have a pimped out ruck that can handle more wieght than you can.

I'm at mojave viper. So if you come out here please kill me. **** the stumps

Now I can attest to the buckles BUT you don't need to get them sewn on if you get the right ones.

Put the female end at the bottom right above the current thingy dingy and then loop the male end correctly on the strap.
Tried and tested.

I asked about your advice jackass. Asked where I could find the ALICE straps but all you did was double post. So guess what? I'm not gonna come out there, in fact, I'm gonna leave you out there so you hate life more and more everyday.

I'm in the fuggin desert on my blackberry I pressed submit 3 times because it never loaded on my screen. Eagle straps get em from quantico tactical supply. Google them, the oceanside store should havem in stock. Those "drop in" fastex buckles did not last a day with the amount of wieght I have never carried. If I had a lot of wieght in my ruck, I would cinch it down so much that whatever I've never carried wouldn't budge at all while I would be running. The closer your wieght is to your upper frame the better time moving you would have. The drop ins snapped and may or may not have cause me to punch myself in the face.
