I'm looking at an Econ major. I've read freakanomics, parts of Confessions of an Economic Hitman, Malcolm Gladwell. What are some good modern economy books of any subtopic. I really like the social economics and behavior models and stuff like that. I like the interesting. I've looked at the Wealth of Nations, old but classic texts I'd be interested in too.

Any thoughts on Econ majors is appreciated too.

Wow, this subtopic is pretty dead.

If you are still interested, "In Fed We Trust" is pretty cool. Its about the Federal Reserves response to the great panic and all the 2007-2008 wall street business.

"The Big Short" by Michael Lewis is good. Not quite the level of the best, but very good and worth reading.
