I use fitday to look at my caloric intake, but I feel super ****ty if I eat too much. Just guilt wise. I rarely have days where I eat too much but if it's more than 2000 cals I feel like I'm cheating myself.

I have been using fit day, it is very very hard for me to eat over 2000 cals a day of clean food. I'm not worried about cals as long as I keep eating clean.

Have you been eating foods high in sugar alcohols? Pretty much anything "low carb" that is still sweet uses sugar alcohols, which can cause some unpleasantness on the toilet. You generally build up a tolerance for it though.

Anyway, another strong day by me. Had a 2 egg omelette's for breakfast with some ham, cheese, and chives. Overall it came to 340 calories and was quite filling. Came home and had a 260cal protein shake for lunch and did a moderate workout (weight day). Just ate another late lunch and I'm at 1200 calories for the day, so I'll probably eat a salad for a late dinner and maybe even have enough for a Friday night beer. Working at the fire company tonight.

I tried fitday but I don't like it. Livestrong.com has been way more convenient, but not all of the features are free.

Haha, breakfast of champions.

I was a little lazy too. Protein shake and a bar for breakfast, chicken Caesar salad for lunch, turkey sandwich for dinner. I'm going to make a low-sugar, low-cal cheesecake for tomorrow (150 / slice)

I'm trying to start keto today too. I think I'll be okay with it, going for a walk now. I'm starting to wrap my head around it but there is still a lot of stuff I'm unsure of. Mostly the carb up phase.

I should wait 2 weeks before I start my first one amirite? And If my lean mass is ~150lbs, that's my protein intake. My fat intake should be about the same and be 60% of my diet correct?

well it really depends what you want to do. you can wait 2 weeks to do the carb up phase to make sure your body is really in ketosis. You are right about your lean mass=protein intake, and I just used fitday to measure the percentage of fat I intake. now im just eating high fat high protein foods and I know that the percentages will be there. Try to intake about 30g of carbs a day. everyone has a different tolerances to the amount of carbs their body can intake while still staying in ketosis but the rule of thumb is shoot for thirty grams and no more than 50 grams a day.

breakfast today is going to be small, probably a protein shake and a handfull of peanuts. im running behind on making it to the msxl tournament on time haha.

Yeah I'm already worried about carbs, I had like 4 for breakfast today with cheese and a shake and I'm wigging out already. I'm like "omg lyk ketosis is ruined".

haha naa, I was like that at first too though and now i just try to keep up with net carbs. as long as net carbs are under 30g for the day then im not worried about anything.

Might take a little bit for you to get going. I weighed in last week and didn't have much of a change either. Tomorrow is my official weigh in.

I started a keto diet too last thursday. Started at 199.9 as of wednesday night, and weighed in at 192 flat this morning. I've been well below 30 carbs a day though I think, I haven't been playing the numbers as strictly as you.
Typical day for me is
Breakfast
2-3 eggs w/half slice of muenster cheese
I'm gonna start using egg beaters instead of eggs though I think.

Lunch
Salad w/any of the following
-grilled chicken, bacon bits, pepperoni, onions, spinach, shredded cheese
-Caesar dressing

Dinner
-Steak w/ a low carb marinade
-Chicken w/ marinade or lemon pepper chicken (also a low carb marinade)

Snacks
-Tuna salad w/ mustard
-hard boiled egg
-Deviled eggs if I have time
-small amounts of cottage cheese (usually before bed)

I usually drink 72+ oz of water a day. Also I sometimes drink Diet tonic water w/ some limes in there, or diet root beer. both have 0 carbs and break up the monotomy of water.
Not trying to hijack your thread, just sharing what works for me, hope it helps ya a little bit.

I'm on day 3, it's going smoother than I thought. I like it quite a bit. I had a headache this morning but who knows what that came from.

I'm still into my diet. Had a huuuuge fire last night and I was 1 of the 2 interior firefighters first on scene, so I did a lot of work. I ended up drinking a lot of gatorade and eating 3-4 hotdogs... but I still burned at least 10,000-15,000 calories over the course of the night (5 hours of firefighting). Didn't get a lot of sleep so I didn't have time to make breakfast, so I had 2 cups of cheerios and 2 cups of milk. Since then I've been on my diet with <1600 calories today.

so I'm on vacation in pensacola and I thought it wold be easy to stick to my diet. I was wrong, since I'm not here by myself and I'm not paying for anything I kinda have to eat what I get so I've been eating healthy. This is going to set my diet behind but I get home thursday night and will be "restarting" my diet on friday morning. I believe I'm still under 1600 calories a day and am eating healthy but it's a little higher in carbs. It's disappointing but I can't really do anything about it. I am going to be very strict in the following weeks though. I will not let myself not loos weight and bf.

Cheat day for me today. Gonna try to get 3000-3500 calories but I'm finding it difficult to do so. I'm at about 1800 now.

Just ran across this while I was bored and was interested in what other people were doing. I know this sounds weird, but a can of tuna with some hot sauce in it is extremely good. It sounds weird, but the hot sauce cuts right through the fishy taste. Try it out some time. Trust me.

alright, I'm home from Pensacola and "restarting" my diet. Since the first week for me wasn't all that hard I think im going to try to make it a little more strict.
I want to keep my calories under 1500 a day, carbs under 20g a day, and keep protein intake right around 150g a day. All of that while trying to intake as much fat as well. I see a lot of tuna, eggs, mayo, olive oil, steak\beef, and chicken breast.

this morning for breakfast was
2 cans of tuna
1table spoon of mayo
a little mustard.

i didnt eat any more true meals today,

i had another can of tuna, some peanuts, some pork rinds and some peanut butter.
