The guys dad parked it in the barn after having his leg amputated, and it has sat since.

I'd steal the engine and tranny too I guess. And the doors and fenders and hood.

I've been seeing tons of super low mileage second gens coming out of the woodwork lately.

Asking outrageous prices too.

I don't want the frame. No use for it. Wouldn't take the bed either.

But I'd take the rear axle too as long as I'm stripping it for parts.

Instead of making a thread for a simple question, il just ask here.

What is the best/cleanest way to group grounds when wiring a car? I was considering just making each ground have a terminal, and stacking as many as possible on the body per bolt. The previous owner is a wiring ****tard, and basically just twisted all the grounds for the entire car together and globbed some solder on them in the engine bay. I plan on cutting out most of them, and grounding them closer to where they come from.

For example, the guy layed a ground wire from the tail lights to the headlights, and hooked it up to a ground in the engine bay. Can i just cut that out, make sure that the body has a strong ground, and ground the tail lights on the nearest metal body part?

A solid axle is not that great offroad, mostly a myth. I had an '84 with the solid axle/leaf spring setup. Ground clearance and suspension travel were lacking.
