did you try to grease it or put it in a clamp or hammer it out..My fusion F8 has a dovetail mount and I thought dye used the same. I might be wrong but it should fit

your going to have to put a lot of pressure to get it off. see if you can get a vice and put the frame into it, then just start pulling the crap out of the asa

The REV-i does have a dovetail type mount but I do not think it is as "standard" as the other more popular manufacturers out there. Have heard of some ASA's fitting and others have not.
As far as your particular situation goes I think I would get something softer than the metal of the ASA such as a wooden dowel rod and press it against the ASA. Then I would gentely hammer on the dowel rod which is on the ASA to try to pound it off. I think I would make sure the grip frame is off the marker and the board is out of the grip frame too. Just making sure you have taken out the 2 black retaining screws in the bottom of the grip frame as well, correct?

I have a Dye ASA on my G3. I'm pretty sure they have the same dovetail. If and when you get it off, you may want to check both the ASA and the Dovetail for nicks in the sliding portion as that would definetly cause the problem you are having.

I don't fully understand what the problem is? The asa is stuck on the rail, right?

It may sound stupid but I want to make sure this person removed or really loosened the RAPS retaining screws before doing this. Maybe one of them has wedged itself between the frame and ASA and that is why it is not going anywhere.

The screws arent in the way. At first i thought that was the problem so i removed them completely. The ASA is stuck HALF WAY. it slid in the rail about an inch, forcefully, i know i should have stopped then but i figured its universal and it should fit. I will be posting pics later today. i am going to try to get a clamp and squeeze it if not im gonna take the frame apart and hammer it in. Thanks

some dovetail asa from other manufacturers do not fit exactly correct, they will slide half way down and stop, I believe it is because of the rails on the DP marker are just not exactly correct.....Bob long cam drive only goes half way down as well..
What had to be done to my fx was the back rail on the FX had to be filed down ever so slightly and i seriously mean almost just roughing it up a bit, than the cam drive was able to slide all the way into position easily....

I would have just taken a block of wood and a hammer while it was clamped in a vice.
