Airborne School question
I'm a cadet on standby for an Airborne slot and was notified that I will most likely receive one within the month. The problem is that they jacked up my medical paper work when they sent it in saying I had 20/20 vision when I wear corrective lenses. I do not have BCGs and have no means to get them, Can I wear thick durable civie glasses? (I know I need two pair with the straps). do the lenses have to be glass? Or just thick frames? I can't really find any legit answers from the BAC site or searching google. Any help would be great as I am a little pressed for time

in airborne school glasses can hurt... a lot.. that ach comming down on your rims and slamming them into your nose is not my idea of good times. not to mention if you PLF (correct or wrong) its gonna jar you a bit... just wear some contacts, you'd be better off. Its only 3 weeks, and prob cheaper than buying perscription glasses you may break

No, they don't. Unless said half jackets are z87.1, which I doubt. I wore half jackets in Iraq too, but I wouldn't have been properly compensated had I lost my eyesight while wearing them.

all the glasses sold there are in compliance with impact standards. Flack/half/full jackets, all the M's you could want.
Take a look at if you never have, everything there is so much cheaper than the oakley store, and a bit cheaper than even the px here.
