The only thing you will have to do to install an IPR kit is to cut the solenoid insert filter(with scissors) to the new length(supplied with a life size picture to line up against) and super/hot glue on a magnet. I will make sure that it is easy enough to install the IPR kit that someone who has never touched a paintball gun before could do it.

I'm much more interested in this than I was the clear cans. Put me on the PM list for this bad boy, I'll absolutely be grabbing one when they're available. They look beautiful!

/\ will do.
I was definatly impressed when I dropped the prototype in my shocker.
I was able to out shoot my prophecy on its max settings with no drop off or fluctuation in the stream at all, with a peak of 23 bps. The video is in the middle of the first page, but I'll imbed it in the first post soon.

Put me on the PM list as well. Im loving the Shocker community, so inventive and supportive. Tons of great custom made additions to tinker with!
Lets hope the shocker i bought from PBN actually is in the shape described when i get home.

Throw me in the PM pool too. I've got 2 SFTs on the way, and probably a RL NXT as well, if everything goes according to plan.

There seemes to be some confusion on what the IPR kit does so I've added a diagram to the first page displaying a shocker with an IPR kit and a shocker without an IPR Kit.

Could you do a video of the installation?

/\ for sure. Once I get the remaining parts to make a complete IPR kit I will shoot an installation video to show how easy the installation really is.
Also, I will make a video of me drilling out the body for those who would like to do that optional step as well.

Quick question...
Is this a reversible mod?
If you cut the filter and enlarge your restrictor hole and then for whatever reason, decide to remove the IPR, will there be a negative impact to the "stock" performance?
Unless I completely misunderstand (quite possible) I would think enlarging the restrictor hole without the use of an IPR would make solenoid starvation even more prevelant.
Not even sure what a cut down filter would do or if those filters are replaceable.
Thanks!

Yes the mod is reversable. The cut filter will make no difference as it only removes about 1/4 inch of a nearly 2.5 inch filter. Not to mention the gun will work exactly the same without the filter completely, although in that case you would need to use clean air. So as far as the IPR modded filter goes it will function the exact same as a stock filter whether or not the IPR kit is in the gun or not.
If you go with the optional step of drilling the body out and then for some reason decide not to use the IPR kit you could increase the chance of solenoid starvation. If you don't want to drill your body out then that is fine as you will still get improvements from the IPR kit alone.
As far as reliability goes, the piston is the only moving part on the IPR kit and it is made out of delrin so there is no need for routine maintanence or lubing at all. The valve seat uses common shocker orings so it is completely rebuildable and the magnets will hold their tension for longer than the gun will last. Basically the IPR kit will be a set it and forget it system.

I'm going to be making some videos here soon about the IPR.
As far as release goes, it's looking like sometime next week as the machinist just got back from vacation and has a back log to catch up on this week.
