I have a ported manifold like yours, but I want to do my tests on a stock manifold and then move on from there. Also there are 2 types of stock shocker manifolds and I was just saying that I was using the newer version of the manifold that has the vent area completely milled out.

Count me in ccluff, I really want this.

So do you recommend everyone drill oh their input from .050" to .070"???

Or do you think there may be a better size to drill to.

I would highly recomend drilling(asuming you feel comfortable using a drill press). enlarging the stock hole with a 1/16" drill bit is very easy and will yield 50% more flow than stock. If you want to gain the most results you can drill another .050" hole right next to the existing solenoid hole which will yield a 100% increase in air flow, but it is not as easy as enlarging the existing hole with a 1/16" drill bit.

When they are avaiable to purchase the ipr's will come with an step by step installation manual and I will also have a video of me drilling out the stock hole to show how easy it can be done.

i have a friend who is a machinist so i may get him to drill the 2 holes... depends really on if there would be too much flow or not.

1/16 is only .0625

Do you use a #50 drill?

Nice work though

Yes, .0625 is the size of a 1/16" bit. 1/16" hole is the largest I would suggest drilling out the stock hole in the stock position because if you drill any larger in the stock position you could break through the sidewall into the va threads. The 1/16" is the easiest way to gain more flow and it is about 50%. If you want 100% more flow then you can drill another .050 hole right next to the stock hole, but this will be harder as you will have no pilot hole to make sure the bit drills in the correct spot like you would enlarging the stock hole.

If you use a machinist you can mill out the stock hole to .070 but you have to off set this hole from the center of the stock hole to avoid breaking through the sidewall. Also, because of this off set you will have to use an endmill and not a drill bit.

All of this will be explained in detail in the drilling video I make.

I'm a machinist.. So you suggest milling to .07 or drilling another .05 hole? I can do either

They will do the exact same thing. Drilling another .050 hole would probably be the easiest because you wont have to mess with tiny endmills and off setting the hole. Both will create nearly the same cross sectional surface area of .004 sq in. The stock .050 hole cross sectional surface area is .002 sq in.(just for refrence)
