So what annoys you the most when you are reffing?

Rec:
-Players forgetting to take the barrel bags off their guns, and shooting 50 balls into the barrel bag, not even noticing its on.

-Younger players who blind fire but with their gun at a 70 degree angle

-That one rec-ball superstar that there always is.

-The players that only want to play 1 v 1's with their friend. All day. Not to mention the games always take at least 10 minutes.

-Dads who ask why we only filled their sons steel rental tank to 3, and not 6.

-Talk about frozen paint

Tournament:
-Players trying to hide stupidly obvious hits, like on their lens, then try and argue after.

-Players who try to run down feild with their gun blazing as soon as they get shot cross feild.

-Spectators that are with the losing team, or the team you gave a penalty to. They get on my nerves, lol.

-Players that try and ask you where they were hit after they slide it off.




I'm sure i could come up with alot more.

Players that argue a rule until they're nearly blue in the face, but can never find it in the rule book when you tell them to show you. And then get even more angry when you show them the correct/applicable rule and they still want to argue it.

Being called 'Ma'am!' by 10 year olds. Makes me feel old.

People calling them bullets, ammo..etc.
people complaining about fogging rental masks
over protective moms
people picking up paint off the ground then whining when their gun jams. then of course they say they didn't pick up paint.
kids shooting anything that moves mostly me or their teammates

Tournament:
the fact that they feel like they own/run the world.
being asked "how is that a major ref?" while he has paint on his face and is still shooting.

not puttin there barrel socks back on going into the "safty zone" n when you do tell them they put it on when there pointing it right at ya with there finger in the trigger.. i can go on and on..

people who think they know what they are talking about but obviosuly dont
People who will scream all day that They shot this guy or that and arent coming anywhere near them.
People who scream they shot that person and are yelling at me to check them when im right there

The list goes on and on i deal with all sorts of people where i work it gets interesting

-the kids whose parents bought them brand new egos/dms/whatever just to go play woodsball with rentals, and then think that they're the most amazing player ever b/c they just barely beat a couple of rentals
-rentals who take their masks off in the middle of the game
-parents who want to "just run in real quick" to take a picture and dont think they need a mask cuz they're not playing

-when walk ons start playing after i say 3-2-1--5 seconds!!
-walk-on's want to play in the woods, then they take an hour to play one game.
-getting shot-up when checking a player
-when other refs yell from cross feild to pull a certain player out
-waiting on the sidelines until player make up their minds on where they wnna go

have alot more but to lazy to type that much

-When I tell first timers they can call for paint checks and the whole team is constantly calling for paint checks.
-New players who dont realize they're shooting the side of the bunker when they pop out and all their shots bounce off and hit me.
-The kids who are horrible but when they beat a bunch of walk ons they tell me about how good they are and how they owned everyone last game.
-The dad who gets a mask and video tapes on the field in loafers, kakis, and a polo who always seem to stand right in front of me when I'm trying to ref.

- People experianced or not takint there masks off after we state do not take your mask off on the field.
-people that always forget to put there barrel socks on.
-games that drag on forever (tippman battles)
-when someone thinks im a player so they decide to light me up then they yell at a ref to check me.

lol I like that one! I play snake (don't ref at all) and I felt bad after this ref got lit up because I got to 50 snake=)

That was either a poorly designed field, or you sat in the wrong spot, or you just got unlucky as hell. Did this happen more than once this day? Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice... shame on you bro.

-Young guns who don't understand that ONLY refs are prone out in the open.
-People that think they are pro and argue, and they don't realize that pros leave the field without arguing to prevent a penalty.(I give penalties very fast to teach upcoming teams to be professional in all they do.)
-Refs on the sidelines who aren't reffing that tell me some dude is out on this hopper and the person he is referring to isn't out at all.
-I don't like people that get out because someone walked out of their bunker(but not off the field) and asked me if they were out and I checked/said no and they shot the person who previously "bunkered" them and got them out and they start yelling at me. Huge dislike. There is no limit to how many times you can shoot someone, don't be nice...
