to the DJs out there--

how much of a song do you typically play? Do you play most of it? only the chorus? Does your decision of how much to play change based on the environment (club, private event, etc)?

Can you guys please offers your opinions on this?

thanks

pk

I guess it depends on what I am trying to do. For a 15-20 minute mix I try for maybe 1:30 - 2:00 of a song. If I'm at a party and need to go for a few hours I'll let a song play through and slow transfer into the next one.

depends what kind i'm playing, for minimal/techy kinda stuff i'll end up running through almost the entire song but i'll have 2/3 tracks running at the same time for layering, for electro it's pretty soon after the second drop

Sometimes I do what I see a lot of dubstep / d&b DJ's do any they open their sets with an onslaught of songs. Maybe 30 - 45 seconds a piece and just destroy but then get going with their set.

So I've made another mix but this time I took it to a filther level. As always I would really appreciate any C&C from any of you. Love it, hate it. I just want to hear what people think.

Where did you get Reso - Technetium?

And what did you use to mix?

I bought the single from his "Reso In The Mix" album. I used a Numark Total Control controller through VDJ. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done.
