the can "shouldn't" touch the bolt in any shocker, but it can happen as I'm sure many of you have seen scratches and scuffs right around the oring grooves on the cans and on the bolts themselves. The clear can will not scratch the bolt in this case like an aluminum one could. Also the clear can does reduce weight by nearly a half ounce and if you were to cut out the sides like a ndz ulp can it would weigh even less. I use a clear can, a delrin bolt sleeve and a ndz sdjustable bolt guide and it shaved off over 2 ounces over an all aluminum(stock) set-up.
If any one with a closed body is interested I could give a discount on an unpolished can that has cut outs vey similar to a ndz ulp can. A can like that would be so light it might just float away.
