I have two questions about the eigen bolt.
1. I have seen multiple posts about people needing to sand down different things to get the bolt to fit/work properly. Will every bolt need this? And if so, which part needs to be sanded?
2. This is in regards to question one. Is it a good idea to purchase a used eigen bolt? I'm a little wary because of the whole "sand to make it fit your marker" thing. Can't really afford to pay $30 or $35 for a new one at the moment.
Just sand around the outter edge of the inside where the inner oring sits for 2-3 seconds at a time, all the way around until it can go down the guide. Take your orings off the spacer first. Before test fitting rinse the piece with alcohol to remove any shavings
hey lurker did you ever come to a conclusion about the blowback/spring issue?
I just got my replacement eigenbolt and techt spring kit in the mail this week. I currently have lurker's bolt paired with techt's heaviest spring from the kit (still noticeably lighter than the stock spring). I'll get air sometime this week and break everything in. I have new bolt guide orings to break in as well. I'm thinking I'll dry fire about three tanks and then I'll test with balls.
I'll update with results this weekend.
Might even throw a finger pinch test vid in for kicks.
