all high end poppits that have always been very efficient have been working on improving their smoothness and quietness where as all high end spools that have been classically quiet and smooth have been working on their efficiency.. each style is coming closer and closer together so the differences that separate them are not going to be that extreme, but you just have to weigh out which traits are slightly more important to you and feel better in your hands
Honestly I don't see what all the hype is about making the marker quiet. It's not like in 1on1 situations you're listening
for the shot. You're pretty much NEVER listening for shots, you see shots.
So from a consumer standpoint, if you're buying the marker cuz its quietier
, you're retarded. From a manufacturer's standpoint, yes both companies are trying to improve on their current platforms, but don't let that be the deciding factor.
Now, the "smoothness of a spool": OK, I can see where the advantages lie, but any tuned properly EGO is "smooth" enough for me. Smooth is a completely user defined subjective term.
The fact of the matter is, both guns are high end mechanisms that spit out paintballs. They look different, feel different, shoot different, priced differently, etc. but in the long run its just a paintball marker.
**** is just all ****ing user preference
, go borrow someone's Luxe and see if you enjoy shooting it as well as you do your EGO. No one's opinion online is going to make you like/dis-like any marker.
