I thought the entire series was done on turf. They need to put particulars like this on there website. Ill truly be miffed if my team has been practicing on turf when we should have set up the grass field (which is right next to it) because it was our impression that this series was run on strictly turf.

lol... a good paintball team should be able to play on either surface.

and yes, its going to be on grass. and there will only be 2 fields.

Right, a good paintball team would also have been practicing on grass rather then turf because it is evident and obvious that it affects ones ability to play.

Sure a good team should be able to play either surface -- but a good team, given the choice, would certainly chose to practice on the surface they are going to be playing on.

Also, we could have run practices during the week -- turf we have to clean after use, the grass we don't have to clean off when were done.

These particulars make a big difference in preparing for an event; don't come in here and slander me or my team.

thats your fault man. i'm not ragging on you or your team, i'm just saying don't blame the nppl for not stating what the surface would be. just do what you gotta do to prepare your team and not make assumptions about the ground surface, thats your bad.

anyways, done here. see everyone at the event tomorrow.

we spend thousands to participate -- they are running a business; why in the world would they neglect to mention what surface we are going to be playing on. if I shouldn't blame the NPPL for not making that information readily available, then who should I blame?

agreed. even if it "shouldnt matter," it does because it's their job to provide accurate information.

Not trying to hate bro...... but seriously if your saying you are not prepared to play a national level event because of the surface.... eeeessshhhhh... what does it really change maybe the slide a touch and the cleats you bring . or you could get sponsored by exalt and swap the spikes. (shameless sponsor plug)

Not only did they not tell you it was going to be on grass, they didn't even tell you what LENGTH the grass would be cut to! I mean, you have to totally practice different on grass that is cut to 2.5 inches long than 1 inch long. And I hope they have some way to dry the grass off in the morning, because it's going to be way more slippery with all that dew on it and that'll totally change how you have to play. Just not fair if the grass is more slippery for some games than others.

If whether the ground is turf or grass makes a difference for your team, you probably have other things you should be focusing on in practice.
