Whats the deal with these new i3, i5, and i7 processors from intel? Are they really good? I found a sony viao for $600 today with 4gb of ram and an i3 processor. 500gb internal hdd as well.
The i3 is a dual-core CPU that is considered the "lower end" of the i# line, but it's still very good (It's clocked at 2.93 GHz or something like that).
The i5 is another dual-core, and it's the "mid-grade".
The i7 is a quad-core and it's pretty much towards the top, if not THE top, of the current chip selection today.
