ITT: We talk about how our day at the gym went.
I had a great lift today at the gym, I was rushed because I had to get my hair cut at 1 and I got in the gym at 11:30. But besides that I got everything I needed to get done, just in a little bit of a shorter time then usual.
How was your lift today?

Spread it out so you don't have 4 lifting days in a row.

i found
mon-bench
tue-legs
wed-rest or core if you feel lazy
thur-shoulders
fri-back
sat-rest
sun-swim
to be pretty good at spacing out lifts and giving enough rest.

My leg days are driving me nuts! 3 weeks ago I got a slight knee injury. My leg press had to be reduced 90 lbs but I was able to go up on my squats. Can you tell me how the F that works? so 3 weeks later the leg press is still bothering my knee, yet nothing else leg related is.
I guess I need to just sack up and stop the leg press for a few weeks...

Leg presses tend to encourage aggressive lockouts and hyperextension of the knee. Basically they suck.

I would tend to disagree. This may be true for someone that is new to lifting but any lift done incorrectly can cause injury. I have been doing leg presses for approx 10 years now and this is my first and only problem I have ever had. I have never had ANY kind of knee injury in my life...

Guys, not everyone has the same training goals. Maybe he just wants to have functional strength and not be big and bulky like those gross bodybuilders.

I have 27.5" legs and can leg press 1500lbs
They're OK if done properly, but generally I think they're easy to do improperly. I avoid them, these days. Certainly leg presses have their place, namely they can be a very good quad specific pressing movement for the legs (Interferes less with deads in a high frequency split.)
