Microsoft Security Essentials

AV/Spyware in one nice, easy and free bundle. Apparently since Win7 MS has started releasing some quality stuff instead of just ignoring things.

I don't think you need it. It's just their free AV solution. I dont think their download page even checks that like some of their stuff.

I just meant that since Win7 in general Microsoft has up'd their quality a bit in multiple areas.

It checks the "genuineness" of your Windows install before it installs the software.

Adaware works pretty well and they offer a free home license.

For me using firefox has kept my spyware to nil, I run Adaware once a month and normally it wont even find anything.
