my DM9 and my major
today i was play in a tourney and even though i had my DM9 set to 12.05 bps (setting 6) i was pac timed at 14 bps.
here is my set up
- fresh 9v
- dwell 20
- freshly cleaned and lubed.
- dxs bronze
- bore matched mofo kit
i know some of that wont effect ROF but id like to avoid the obvious replies like replace battery (i do before every event wheather it needs it or not).
anyone have some suggestions on how to fix this? i like my DM but if i cant trust the electronics on the field im going to have no choice but to get rid of it.

Make sure you are setting board correctly, check your trigger bounce and check your detents. All I can think of.

I have honestly never seen or even heard of a stock DM board shooting faster than it is set to.
Double and triple check your settings as per the manual.

thanks for trying to help.
unfortunately those are things i check regularly. ive been running the matrixes since '06 so ive got setting them down good.
i just started playing tourneys last year and have used mostly egos. today was only the third time ive used a matrix in an event.
edit - if i cant get it figured out by monday ill give dye a call and see what they have to say on it.

perhaps it was the PAC that was off. In any case, next time double check it before your next tournament with thier pac timer. I do it at PSP.
Though I question that Refs knowledge of PAC timers, as they display in MS, not BPS.
12.5 is 80ms. so anything higher than 80 is fine.

i actually trust the ref that was using the pac timer. lil tony is also a pro ref for psp. the nypl hired him for their ultimate.
as for the timer being off , that is possible. the chrono i used to time myself before hand kept giving me readings all over the place. thats why i lowered my cap to 12.05 instead of the leagues 12.5.

i have a weird question to ask, so please bear with it.
do you know if that is in fact a dm9 board. i ask because a dm8 board's settings are different.
setting 6 on rof is 14.5, which could explain your problem.
just another thing to look at. only thing i could figure out.

yet another reason to have a screen on your board.
