Hi guys,

I'm looking to build a fairly comprehensive list of people who have done something for/with paintball in Wisconsin. What I'm looking for is notable players, teams, field owners, store owners, industry people, that sort of thing. I'd love to have the help of our online community here. I'll keep a running tally of the list. I've got my own list that I'll augment into here as we build the list, but I want to see what you guys can come up with!

Format I'd like to run is this;

Should have Paintball Dave (Dave Rudig). Oldest indoor field in the world, and still in business after 20+ years.


Is this list only for current people, teams, etc. or notable's from the past? If includes from the past then SOB's are by far the most notable team.

Very definitely interested in past and present. Hard part on some of the past guys is going to be tracking them down.

Chad Jones - Owner of Planet Extreme in Lake Geneva, WI. He's been home to quite a few teams in Southern WI, and runs PSP ref clinics. I believe he's also branching into USPL now. Definitely an outstanding field owner.

What about people who just made an impact on certain people, with the sport. I'd include Harry from down at Sams(now Breakaway). Dont forget about Steve, from Areostar, he used to be around sam's alot.

One of the hard parts with "the list" is that eventually, it'd be nice to be able to get in touch with them. I know that some are going to have moved out of state, a couple are no longer alive unfortunately, etc.

You can probably still dig up Bif Theile (former original SOB captain) on AO, Goes by 'Old SOB' - Beemer's on AO too (SOB). Also Greg Klutg (SOB) owns Action packed, so he's easy to get. And two former SOB's play there regularly. Just an FYI on how to contact SOB guys.


Raehl is a really good one. Probably is #1 on your list for effecting the entire industry, not just Wisconsin.


Didn't Jim Crow write for Paintball magazine? Maybe APG too.

I'm positive I'm missing quite a few! The question becomes (not to sound ignorant or ***-like), who are they? I could put up there names like Chuck Neinfeldt or Tom Glavich that mean a lot to me, but if they haven't impacted the state's view of the sport, or the sport's view of the state, it's hard to justify putting them on there.

First and last names are a huge help, as are reasons they're a "who's who".

FWIW, Chuck was one of the early players in the Wisconsin Rapids area, and Tom was one of the earlier stores to carry paintball gear (as well as a player) in Stevens Point. Tom died a number of years back, Chuck runs an unrelated business today.
