Micromags rare?

Hi mag owners. I've got an '02/'03 ish Pro Team Products Micromag. I'm wondering if people are looking for these. As far as I know, they're somewhat rare. I've hardly ever shot it, but when I did, it shot pretty good. It could use a Lvl 10, and that's about all it needs. I know a guy who has offered me $200 for it, but I wanted to get the skinny from other mag owners first. Could it pull more? (I know about the appraisal thread... just want to get back to this guy soon) Or is it more worth keeping and throwing the Lvl 10 on there? Thanks.

That's up to you bro. $200 is a good fetch for the marker. Stock RT mags are going for $300-350 Regular classics are running $125-150

I would counter offer for $250 since it's in very nice condition all the parts are there and it's coming with single trigger grip.

200 is a good price. Like previously mentioned, counter offer a bit more, maybe 225-250.
I got my MicroMag for 60 shipped with goodies, so im pretty happy.

Thanks. I haven't kept up with mags since they were at their peak of popularity. So $200-250 is solid. I'm definitely on the fence on this one.

I'm a bit indecisive, but I'm thinking I'll either sell it or try to use it as a project gun. It would be kind of cool to have it pimped out with an X-Valve and maybe some anno. Maybe trade the Micromag valve + the single trigger frame + some cash for an X-valve. Hell, I don't know...

Honestly, ive never found the need for anything over a minimag. Ive had like 6-7 micromags so far, and yes, they were smaller and lighter, but shot just the same. As for price, I'd say for what you have right there, $200-250 sounds about right. I could see it going for $225. I had a chrome and red one go for $300, but the other 5 all ended up around $200-225.

You bet. I was so excited at the time. I got it shipped UPS (which cost the guy like 15 bucks) and for 60 bucks that makes it like $45. It came in a friggin nice case with an old on/off co2 tank, 2 barrels, a perfect expansion chamber, a grav hopper, and a squeegee. Looks kick *** with my 14'' All American. Oh my god does it ever.

X Valve>all. Expensive though. Look into buying a used gun with an X Valve, itll be cheaper in the long run. Then you could just swap it out.
I like the double finger frame, but i dont at the same time. Im not sure, its preference to you what you want to do with it.

All mags (that came with the Classic valves/Micromag valves stock) pretty much shoot the same.AGD tried to make the Minimag (Mini because of the use of the VA makes it shorter), even smaller. Worked slightly, but ended up being a big heavier and just using cocker threads, and coming with a smaller barrel.
The small barrel just makes it look meaner.

Sounds like consistent numbers. Since I know the value is around 200, I'm considering keeping it. I had a lot invested in it when it was new. It was like $450 for the gun, and probably another $150 in Benchmark accessories. Back then, it was pretty expensive. Now it reminds me of a classic car, except those were more affordable in their day and have gained value through the years. This is old technology, but respectable and unique nonetheless. It would be nice to put the miles on it that have been missing these several years.

I forgot to mention my MicroMag came with a Benchmark single frame.
If i were you, id keep it. Id take off the front grip and VA and then put on the single frame.

Old school it, huh... I remember that with the single trigger, it actually seemed to shoot faster. I got the double trigger because I was gonna score an RT valve for it. There aren't many $200 markers out there that I'd rather have than this... there's the SR Cocker for that much, but selling a mag for a cocker would probably anger the gods.

Selling a Mag for an SR would definitely anger the Gods.
Seriously, just keep it. You see, to like it. It does shoot pretty damn fast with the single trigger, and its nice and smooth.

Talking Keep It !

If you are hurting for the money then sell it.
Otherwise you should keep it.
You know you want to.
You'll be sorry if you sell it.

Make a project out of it.
A dust black Intelliframe, black Xvalve, 8" dust black Lapco barrel.
Or even better an 8" Apex ready Lapco barrel with Apex tip .
Run the gas thru the foregrip and get some black macroline and black macroline fittings.

true. the early micromags were unibodies. but their barrel and the unibody design is pretty distinguishable from the later removable barrel types.
