i'm looking to pick up a vest but i cant decide between woodland camo, digital woodland camo, or just a straight black vest. odd's are i'd be playing outside the most so its pretty much down to the 2 woodland camo ones. any advantages?

Multicam, if possible. It's not going to really matter that much unless everything you have is camo and you're sneaking around hardcore. Personally I prefer digital, but lots of people disagree. Avoid black if you can though; doesn't really work unless you play indoors a lot.
It really depends on the environment that your playing in. In the woods of Maine, a person wearing woodland BDU's can disappear, versus the ACU pattern.
Dunno if you play at a field, green versus tan yadda yadda, might consider buying an OD molle chest rig and two colors of ammo pouches. I'm moving to a more modular system versus sewn in pockets, because I can adapt the rig to different load outs.

for dark woodlands, marpat is the way to go. multicam is good in lighter enviroments, fall, etc. Honestly though, if you're talking about vest pattern only, i'd get it in OD/Coyote brown just so you can use it with multiple camo patterns.
