First it was the sidebar, then the lame link filter, now this. Give us an option to just go back to the simple, oldschool site.

The new layout makes at least the link filter seem like a minor inconvenience because there's no way around this and it's always staring you in the face.

I'm no expert on how these "styles" are implemented, so maybe I'm wrong in thinking that it is possible and practical to have an option to go back to the old style. Regardless, it's kind of disheartening that this was rammed through when so many people were unhappy with it when it was in "beta."

I'm not having any problems on my HP netbook 1024x600 atom n270. ie8 btw. I like the fact that I don't link out to another site if I don't hit the scroll bar on the right perfectly ..

eh, makes it big margins to scroll left/right (not just my computer settings....other pbnation was perfect). And that add to the top left and all that clutter, drives me crazy.

HATE the new layout, i beta tested it and 30 seconds later was disgusted with it and switched back to old school pbn, also when i view pbn on my droid that big add is the first thing i see and its terrible trying to scoll 100 thumb motions to the left in order to attempt to see if i have any PM's.

suggestions:

1. make the new layout optional for us who don't like change

2. make an app asap if its unable to be changed back to old school so i never have to look at this new layout on my laptop again.

All this pissing and moaning over a completely free website. Simply amazing.

BTW, I use Firefox on my 15" laptop set at 1024x768 and the website has no side to side scroll.

I hate the top. Every time I click on a new thread or section, half of my screen is taken up with things I don't care to see. Every time.

I don't care about the site news. If I wanted to know what was going on, I'd come here to Updates.
I don't care about the "community focus" stuff. It's basically like the old "Announcements", but with threads from News.
I don't ever search anymore, and even if I did, I would prefer not having a giant grey bar across the whole length of the screen.
If there wasn't an option to turn off the field/store finder, I'd be pissed. Since there is, I'm only mildly annoyed.

Overall, whatever "this" is, it does nothing positive for me, and only detracts from the browsing experience here.

Easy fix: Make them collapsible.

If jon/kyle can make a minize(sp) thing to close the boxes it would be nice.. Have the add go across the top screen if you guys can so it would take up a lot of space
