Best tank reg - geo combo
As it seems to be a common problem or question asked when a geo is not working, what tank regs are every one using with there geo's and how well / consisant is it when shooting? As most people seem to say myth with hp kit in is still no good and is inconsistant. So i am looking to find what others are using and finding work well or not do well. It would appear that not just any hp tank reg will do.

This is what I use
Have not had any issues with this set up and my FPS seldoms fluctuates more that 3 and at slow rates of fire its less than 1. Extremly lite and really balances out my GEO. Will not however, let you just blow through paint like crazy but they have larger tanks for that. Hopper (Dye) and 4 pods (proto) and I still have air left.
49 cu Ninja system
•MADE IN THE USA!!!!
•SRT piston –Sonic Recharge Technology piston – plated aluminum piston that produces an industry leading recharge rate and virtually eliminates reg shoot down
•SPA – Shim Pressure Adjustment- change output pressure by adding or removing shims, not springs or pistons
•MFV – Mini Fill Valve – Non wrist digging, low profile design fill valve
•All black tactical look
•Brass or optional Aluminum bonnet - see regulator parts for details
•Meets all DOT, CGA and ASTM specifications
•Completely rebuildable by the end user
•Every regulator is hand crafted and factory tested
•Super low response curve 0-50 psi from full to empty
•Safety
•ASTM COMPLIANT bonnet thread
•ASTM COMPLIANT DOT burst disc
•ASTM COMPLIANT Low pressure burst disk
•ASTM COMPLIANT Restrictor, bleed hole and safety groove
•Mini Fill Valve IS hardened, plated 5000 psi rated
•Reg installed to ASTM specifications

I was using a myth with a hp spring... Had no issues with low velocity or shoot downs. Well.. Except for the pinging issue.
Used the ninja too, and had no issues or vissible improvement between the two for me..... Except for no ping
If you looking for Ninja reg, I think JC_Jas on bills has some Ninja regs for sale.

I am really only worried about the regs not actual tank size as in Australia the USA tank testing does not meet our testing standards or some thing and tanks are really hard to get certified for use here when imported. i am just want to know about reg performance. Thanks to those who have answered already so far ninja ftw.

I am not sure where you got this info from, but from what I've gathered, there are only a handful of people that have are even using the HP kit with their Myth regs and I can only recollect one person still having issues.

There are a few guys on here that's pretty anti Myth regs... Reasons based on the slow recharge video and the lack of the second burst disc on the V1. Plus compounted with Geo not working with the stock spring... I guess it did generate a lot of hate...
Oh, and the annoying ping issue can drive a man nuts.... But I seems to solved it by turning the spring around and it seem to have stop it.

I got this by reading most of the posts people have posted about velocity issues and consistancy and in nearly all of them one of the first questions asked is what tank setup is being used.
In allot of cases a myth reg is being used and the advie is try another air system as myth can be inconsistent.
The other resoon is that i have a bit of trouble with getting the velocity to 300 fps at the moment. Having read all the posts about volocity issues ive tried the usual things, batterys, to much lube, dwell settings and all that. The only thing i need to try is a diffrent tank reg combo and i have got a myth with a hp kit so i just wanted some honest no bs opinions on other regs that can be used.
Im not tryin to say Myths are bad and they should not be used im just trying to find out what works for others so when i use it i know it should be right. If not then its some thing in the marker......Thanks again for the feedback on the other regs guys

the key words here are "stock spring" which is a Mid Pressure reg, 600-650psi...and the HP kit is also supposed to resolve the pinging issue

I understand but in your initial post, you mentioned the HP kit on the Myth reg and I just wanted to clarify that 99% of the problems are occurring for those using a factory set Myth reg, which is set at Mid pressure...those that switched to the HP kit did not have any issues...but if you already have the HP kit in your myth reg, then YOU are the only one so far that I've heard of with this problem still...

My Geo has been used with a CP air system reg and a Nitroduck X-Stream adjustable screw in (set to 800psi) - no problems with either.

You have to pay for that stupid HP spring. Ninja is adjustable. They wanted me to pay $14.00 for that dumb spring shipped. I sold that reg, and bought a ninja one and haven't looked back.

I have used both DXS reg and Smart Parts Max-Flo SIS reg and both work great. only thing you have to look for is that it is a HP reg.

Ninja 49/4500 with the ultralite reg is so light, ii have no prob with it, its just got a mini gauge on it, might be a diff material but not sure, also getting 4 pods and a rotor on it
I also have a ninja 68/4500 and it has the regular reg on it, no problems with that tank either, can't go wrong with a ninja
