I know its an Angel, but what Model?

So, I recently bought 2 Angel paintball guns from a friend of my dad's who stopped playing. They are pretty nice guns, but I am having a little trouble changing fire rates and stuff like that. I was sure they were IR3s for a while, but now I am not sure. The manual doesn't match up with the gun. I have pictures in a file on my computer, but (newbie question) I can't actually get them on here? They aren't on the Internet already, so when I click insert picture I can't put a URL. Also it won't let me paste the pictures on here. If somebody could please help me out, because I need help identifying these guns.

Also, are they good paintball guns for the long run? I am thinking about purchasing an Etek 2, so should I spend my money on that, or put it towards a new hopper and getting the blue angel fixed?

The first one is indeed an IR3, more specifically and IR3 fly. I can tell because of the raised milling on the top of the body, and the cut out on the side of the body.

As for the second one it looks like a regular LCD. I cannot be positive on the year but Im pretty sure its a 2001 LCD

as far as the IR3, agreed! although there are a few other angels that have similar milling, who knows, all you need to know is thats its awesome.

And the second is definitely an LCD, but I'm thinking later than 2001

Yeah the year threw me for a loop, I had a 2k1 angel but mine was a fly and its no where near the same milling as this one. I just went by this pic I found on angel-owners and he had it labeled as a 2k1. It has the same milling as this one:

1st one is an angel ir3 fly with goodies and the second is a "butter knife" mill pattern angel lcd with a great trigger, the cobra, a 15 kick vert asa and an ans vert regulator + giant cradle. there is no 200X year angel LCDs from wdp honesty. Only different mill patterns offerd from 200 - 2002 untill the ir3 and special edition angel lcds came out. dark angel lcds can be named by year due to the different mill patterns offerd over the years, but C&C angels are not able to be labled by year from what I gather and I am a long standing LCD shooter. just got my blue predator'd fly2 in the mail and put my red parts on it!

I read the forum rules and it says no "_vs_", so I will just ask you guys if you think these guns are too outdated to be successful at a field? Should I purchase a newer gun? I am at like a $500 budget on the new gun though. So, I can't go buying an Ego 10 or anything. I was leaning towards an Etek 2, from ebay or something. Possibly from somebody on here. What are you guys opinions?

And, is the difference between an Angel ir3 and Angel ir3 fly just cosmetic? Or does it work differently internally? Because the manual I have for the ir3 is saying there should be 2 buttons on the grip of the gun, aside from the 3 buttons on the back of the grip. These 2 buttons should be directly below the screen, but they aren't there. I tried searching for an Ir3 fly manual, but I didn't have much success. I will try to search more thoroughly later. 2 friends coming down to buy an Impulse paintball gun. So, thanks to everybody who replied to this thread, now I have atleast some direction or understanding of these guns.

He meant rock the **** out of them. As in, use them. I'd use one for sure.

Besides, the gun you have doesn't make what kind of player you are. They're great guns that could still hold up today. They may be a tad bigger, but still great

Yeah, I am trying to figure out how to get the board fixed on the blue one. I guess the best thing to do would be to call up Angel Paintball or something and talk to them. I will probably buy an Etek 3 in the near future, but I do like these guns (don't get me wrong). Lol, I took it to my local field last Sunday and I did get a ton of compliments. I am playing tommorrow too so it should be fun.

Both angels,if taken care of and treated well should do fine for recreational play.

but if you want to play tournements it may be a little hard lol

Yeah, I probably won't be doing any tournaments for quite a while. I am not that good yet.
