Event 1 not only went down, it went down HUGE. 3 Man / 5 Man / 7 Man & Xball - one weekend - one spectacular event. So maybe you didn't get to play. Maybe you weren't sure but the fact is, The NEPL has stepped up - with the help of the players who play here - and made it a force to be reckoned with... the best teams, the best fields, the best refs - and the best VALUE by far.

$35 Tournament paint?????

So, may I remind you that since the Franchised Teams decided to open up registration for 7 Man & Xball to non-franchised teams (meaning you can register for these 2 divisions event to event) This means we put a cash pot on the line. The math is easy. ALL Event to Event teams entrance fees get put into a prize pool - that ALL teams are eligible to win at each event. So how much are we talking? Well, in 7 Man UP TO $7000 CASH in total for prizes (we can take 14 MORE teams!!!!)

Registration is open now - pre-paid event paint starts at $35 a case .... Seriously? WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU WAITING FOR???

The NEPL has been running 7 man successfully season after season, we already have 10 teams committed FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR!! We can accommodate 24 teams - and we can provide the biggest payout in 7 man ANYWHERE!!! If you're looking forward to & working hard towards NPPL Chicago, Washington or Las Vegas - you should be playing HERE!!!!

XBall - 14 teams played in the NEXL over the weekend - HERE is where it's at! We still have room for more Xball teams too (can take 18!) ! They too will enjoy a cash payout - amount depending on number of event to event teams playing.

If we sign up event to event (7's)and win (not saying we will but hypothetical here) do we get a prize? or for like 2-3-4 place is there anything? I saw on the nepl site that franchised teams can win entrance to nppl based on season standings event to event, thats sweet but do we get left out of that running and is there any other prizes to win?

That paint shot awesome.... Boston Armada shot that "cheap" paint the entire tournament and it worked out great for us... we only switched to Ultra Evil for the Final match against the Canes.

all paints have their good and bad runs. hence the reason i'm asking if im paying for the cheap paint because it tends to bounce at nepl although it did in fact shoot very nice event 1.

We use the same stuff @ practice too.....

The only downside to it (if any) was the fill wasn't as high marking as we would have liked.

Your theory holds some truth but I've been at events where the expensive stuff created cloud mists of orange and yellow and bounced so far off bunkers the cars in the parking lot had more breaks than the players on the field!

It's a toss of the coin! The Paintball Gods pre-determine our outcome!

Bounce/Mist/Lasers! It's not up to the almighty dollar to choose in this sport!

Hahah this is very true, just from my past events at nepl i remember lots of bouncy paint but as we've learned you never know. I'm just curious as to what kind of paint we're getting with the 35 dollars, the price would leave me to believe that its the 40 dollar paint because a 15 dollar discount just for prepay would be a bit much.

Franchised teams are the only ones who qualify for the entrance fees to the NPPL events - that is a perk of being a franchised team.

Prizes happen if there are event to event teams entered in each event - and the prizes are based upon how many of those teams there are. ALL event to event teams entrance fees are put into the cash prize pool - and ALL teams can win the cash - franchised teams as well as event to event teams. So even if only 1 event to event team registers - there is cash on the line.

As far as how prizes are split - again, the prizes are based on how many teams register EVENT TO EVENT. It is easier for us to see how many teams we have and see what we are looking at in terms of actual prize pool money before we decide how it will be handed out.

Paint: We offer 3 brands of paint this year. Prepaid it is one price - at event it is another. I will cover non-franchised paint pricing here - since we are talking about non-franchised teams.

The NEPL uses RPS paint and brands range from mid-grade to the highest quality. Pricing pre-paid starts at $35 a case up to $55 a case. At event prices range from $40 to $60 a case.

The "cheap" paint is the same paint we have used at rotations & is like what T2 said - what they used at the last event - where they took 2nd. I have not once heard a bad thing about the "cheap" paint - quite the contrary.
