they arent that bad. my fit was about 750 mil. all t2 other than a pithi b-type small shield booster. 600dps t2 heavy missile's, 815dps t2 heavy assaults out to 28km.
are you guys sure they nerfed them? i thought they just reduced range a little on heavies and brought the damage up?

*Heavy missile changes:
Base flight time reduced by 35% (to 6.5 seconds) for tech1 variants
Base velocity increased by 14.6% (to 4300m/s)
Damage has been decreased by 10% (rounded to closest digit)
Explosion radius increased by 12%*
so they reduced damage a bit but made them hit small things better.
oh great, now my HML power is weaker... but it's not so bad since my tengus run with a few missile speed mods
get an extra volley or 2 in so they pop faster
The change was so minimal for me. Perfect missile skills and I got a drop of only 75dps. On average I could be losing a million a tick but I doubt that. The nerf originally would have **** on a lot of missile boats but currently it isn't that bad. I can tank any anom sitting still at 0 so that helps too.

My corp has essentially abandoned EVE. Probably only for a while as they seem to migrate between MMOs every now and then. Some of us were training up for small gang stealth bomber runs through WH and nullsec space. I'm a little weary, as now corp chat shows only one or two players. (and usually both of them are me...)
One of my toons is 3 days away from flying a flawless manticore. Cov-ops to V is the last skill to complete.
Anyone have any experience with solo bombers? Any tips? The corps I've been with lately have been mainly PVE with PVP roams randomly, but rare. Hell, my pvp experience is hilariously small but I really want to get into it more.
the easiest way seems to be to try to find a battleship ratting somewhere. if hes in a belt you can just warp straight to him, or scan and warp to a haven since youll land before they can align out you might be able to take him. if you can find one thats weak to your particular bomber you can almost alpha one with your bomb and about 2 salvos i think. i.e. the amarr bomber vs. a raven with a huge em hole.
i think on my manticore i ran 2 sensor damps which makes a battleship take like 40 seconds to target a frigate...or a damp and point, its possible to kill them before they can even lock you...
personally my experience with bombers ive always been annihalated as soon as i decloak lol. cruisers and even t1 frigates will tear you apart almost instantly. try to have something to warp too behind what your bombing, so you can shoot and warp away without even watching the bomb hit, cause if your in bomb range your almost in point range.

HBC break up will hopefully make things interesting. Should be interesting to see if Sort has the balls to start at least one of the wars he has promised either way.
