Couldn't have had a better weekend. Played both day's. The reffing was fantastic on both days. Paint shot great, quick turn-around times for matches, weather was perfect, and having a vendor area was great!

Thumbs up to Boston Paintball for putting on a great event for us, and giving us a great place to play. The Institution wants to personally thank all of the teams we played this weekend. Everyone played great, and we had a blast! Thanks guys ! ! !

Dito, i saw some of the worst calls of my paintball career today they were not addressed properly even by the head reff.

can we get the refs a fox 40 (life guarding whistle) so there is no mistaking when the game is called. in the playoffs half of my team didn't hear the whistle because there was too much action on field 1 right behind us. my 2 pennies

5man

up's
+I like the paint options and even the red legion basic shot pretty damm good
+Timing of games
+Check in went pretty well for me and my team

Down's
Prizes are a little ridiculous.
I personaly seen alot of bad calls today and the refs missed alot. But honestly for the first event of the season with so many new refs and playing on 2 fields and new pits i think they did very good.

5 man

Ups:
-Just about everything. Good teams and sportsmanship. Weather held up pretty nice, not a single ****ing raindrop

Downs:
-That one ****ing elimination game that screwed us out of the finlas when we actually went number 1 seeded, haha. But that's really a "down" on our part. And yeah the reffing on field one could've been better, the refs were not even cooperating.

Played both days. Great reffing. Great competition. Great paint. Great weather. Great setup. Great showing of vendors. All in all, best NEPL I've been to yet.

As to reffing, there are always going to be some missed calls and things that don't go your way. Just gotta get over it. It happens at all levels of the sport, from D4 to Pro. Also, being the first event, it's not expected that things will be perfect when it's almost entirely a new reffing crew. Cut them some slack.

I think this is likely to be a great year for the NEPL. The two day event format is awesome. Can't wait for the next one.

We won the game, and although the game was not technically over, while the players were being check one of our guys grabbed his barrel bag behind the deadbox and was pulled for being out of bounds. Our other two live players alive were eliminated resulting in no one being able to hang the flag. Kind of screwed us, there was no discussion by refs or at the meeting about out of bounds.

If that's what happend then I hear ya bro, that is a tough one.

But to sumorai's post, I agree, paintball isnt easy to reff, and overall it was pretty good. All I am trying to say is, some of the refs werent even willing to discuss some of the calls they made (pretty wild ones).

Great start to the season though!!

Excellent weather, reffing, paint (red legion all the way!), teams, sportsmanship, fields.. Basically the whole event seemed over the top and also well run.

The only thing I didn't particularly favor was the single elimination 5man playoffs. With 6 prelim games and paint at awesome prices, it seemed more paintball could have been played.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this event what it was - Awesome!

You are not supposed to put your barrel bag back on until the flag is hung anyways.

Once you hang the flag, you get checked by the refs, then you can pick up your pods and barrel bag.

Why were two live players eliminated?

A hit was found on one of them.
