Favre cost you a Superbowl last season. In the biggest moment of last season, Favre went full ****ing retard. He could have easily run to gain 6-7yrds... he could have dumped it off to a wide open Shiancoe underneath for a 6-7yrd gain... but no... he throws across his body deep into the middle of the defense...

Everyone knows how that ended.

Your point? I very much remember that terrible terrible moment I am not saying having Favre makes us a superbowl lock like you seem to be implying (correct me if I'm wrong), I'm just saying he gives us a better chance.

I'm saying you cant count on Favre. I personally think the Vikings season will go with Adrian Peterson's performance...

bought NFL Game Pass because I'm overseas. This thing is actually pretty damn good. A little pricey (70$/mo) but it has all of last seasons games, NFL network access and live streaming HD games.

Oh ninja, believe you me I understand this. I love me some ap and would love for him to deliver upon us a superbowl, but to my packers fan friends (douchers) if favre is a part of the superbowl winning Vikings it will be the ultimate insult and sure would be fun!

And on that note: I hope my cell engineering prof understands that I won't be in class tomorrow as it is during the vikes game.

disagree. Look what the vikings did before favre, basically nothing. Their success relies on the performance of the qb.

10-6 with a playoff appearance.

But I agree, it does run through their QB play. Brett Favre coming back is a good thing for them even if he has the potential to throw the game away. It's not because he can have another monster season, it's because their backups are awful. I think they needed him back just to avoid having Tarvaris in there.

making the playoffs is an accomplishment now? Thats nothing. Especially considering ap's ypc has gone down every year.

I agree. He put Favre in a situation that was doomed.

Man, you can't put a franchise on a running back in this NFL. Especially if it's not Chris Johnson.

All you are doing is supporting my point that the Vikings will live and die by Peterson this season. If they have to put the game in Favre's hands... he cant survive. He struggled heavily and his ankle had to get some serious medical attention after playing just 8 series against the Seahawks. Favre's only hope of playing the full season is not having to carry the Vikings. He has a huge target on his back and its on Peterson to pick up the slack.

He did cost them the last chance to go to the Super Bowl, but there were a lot of other mistakes in that game. Also they likely wouldn't have even won their division, let alone get to the NFC Championship game without Favre

Eh, take your pick. Favre had 2 INTs and a lost fumble while AP had two fumbles that were recovered. AP hit 120yds and 3 TDs while Favre had a 70 passer rating. Their collective effort of turnovers and poor defense is to blame.

They're talented enough to make the postseason without Favre carrying them there.
