Yeah we've got a few good players but the unit as a whole is below average. Word is the influx of D linemen drafted will be utilized into making over the defense into a 3-4, with the DE's taken possibly being used as hybrid OLB's. That sort of makes sense, but IMO they didn't get the right guys for this, as most of them look to me like projects. And if you don't want to take a QB early that's one thing, but using a pick on Spiller when there was still very good O Line talent available, which is our most glaring weakness, still has me scratching my head.

Also rumor is they might be trying to phase out Marshawn Lynch due to his character issues, although the story about him stealing $20 from some lady was false, and then move Spiller into a tandem role with Fred Jackson

I still can't believe the Bears drafted rustbelt Tebow. I'll give somebody 5-1 odds he becomes a more successful NFL QB then Tearbro.

I'll take that. Your coaching staff doesnt know what to do with good offensive talent if it jumped up and bit them in the dick hole.

He'll end up on another team or will become successful after Lovie Smith gets fired at the conclusion of this season.

Nacho would have to seriously go Jake Delhomme/Jay Cutler/Brett Favre circa 2008 in order to keep that team down like that. With how dominant there defense and running game should be, with an improved WR corps, there's almost no reason for them to not be a great (12+ win) team. The only way they got worse was losing Thomas Jones, who Shonn Greene will be able to replace fairly well, and Alan Faneca, which I think is the biggest problem they'll have.

Can anybody explain to me why they released Faneca?

Because Fanecas old....

And yes, the Jets look great on paper, but so dont the Redskins every year, the Raiders, the Cowboys, etc. and we all see how their seasons end up. I'll believe it when I see it from the Jets.

When have the Raiders looked great on paper in the last 7-8 years? Everybody knew how the Redskins season would end up with that offense.

Anyway, we all know for a fact how good the Jets defense was last year. They lost Kerry Rhodes, and added Cromartie and Kyle Wilson. As I said, the only real question is how losing Faneca and Thomas Jones will affect them, but the rest of that line isn't exactly unworthy, and Shonn Greene showed plenty of flashes for the running game to not be a big question mark.

Yeah, they still have to show up and play, but so does every other team.

You mean like completing only 53% of your passes for 12 tds and 20 ints? Taco Bell is the most overrated QB I've heard about in the past decade.

Ok. Explain to me why Tim Tebow is not one of the greatest college quarterbacks of all time?

Brah, you just don't realize how good Tebow was at Florida. I watched him lead Florida back to win the 2008 SECCG in the fourth quarter against Alabama in a masterful performance that was so epic that I had to jack off to it while using my tears as lubricant.
