How many Quests unanodized? (Desert Camo Quest = Paint)

I had a desert camo quest for a few hours ( Ebay purchase = new seller sold a leaking, untested marker as "like new") Anyway what I though was the coolest quest ever, quickly became my least desired of all. ITS PAINTED! On top of that all internal surfaces were left raw aluminum = lots of the white flake corrosion inside after a few years. The only areas inside that did get covered were just over spray.
So where all the other color schemes real ano. This wasn't a home job this was the color pattern every bodies always - oh and ah about. I'm thinking of picking up a second quest but wondering if there are other Quest color patterns that got paint instead of ano too? It was a very poor choice on the factories part IMO.

that was the only style done in that manner everything else is annodized

Thats odd. They were not painted, rather film dipped. This was widely known and advertised back in the day as not to mislead. BUT under the filmdip they were anodized a tan color incase the dip was scratched.

They had a few different styles, like a black marker with grey lighting bolts, under was ano'd black.

Very odd...

It's called hydrographic printing.

And it is a type of paint.

Mine is anno'd. But I will never sell it.

The stock 07 fade bodies are very very nice, I highly reccommend trying to get one of those.

That explains alot!!!
The gun was in pieces and being parted out then someone else puts it together and throws it on eBay "like new" LOL Yep I'm the dumb $hit that bid on it

Then promptly sent it back because it was not as described. The seller sort of hassled me until I got ebay involved, now I can see why he didn't want it back = he has had nothing but trouble with it too!

Shows the body and the bottom is raw! If I could find one that was tan anodized inside I would be more open to owning one again. All that corrosion inside was nasty and it will get worse.

The seller I bought it from and sent it back put it up on ebay again.... So just know its not pretty inside! Maybe he will clean it this time?

I can't really understand why anyone likes that color. Personally, think it's probably the ugliest of all Quests that I've ever seen.

At least he's not claiming like new. He's claiming used with scratches. Although he does claim that it shoots good.

Last time he said "Like new" and it would even fire... Hopefully this time it will work for the new owner. I could have fixed it but for 225 I didnt pay for a project! Yes I agree after seeing one up close the camo is not my favorite color.

As far as being Grazianos = I didnt care, thats what the other post said. Its the owners problem now
