So the big question everyone is asking is about is the prizes.

Both D4/D5 divisions are fine.

The question is the 3man and 5man D2/D3 and the 7man. Here is the answer to the prize packages.

7man
7man will run with 6 teams - if any teams back out, it will not run. Prizes will be based off of the number of teams. With 6 teams the first place cash prize will be $1400. If more 7man teams sign up, the prize cash will be based off that number of teams percentage. I.E. If 8 teams sign up, 8/12ths of cash that would have been awarded if 12 teams had signed up will be awarded.
The final number will be based off who is signed up, paid on Monday eve. Teams will have until then to decide if they still want to play. Final decision on this division will be made Tuesday.

3man D2/D3
This division will only run if 6 teams total sign up (and pay). If this division does not get the amount needed by Monday night, it will be cancelled. With 6 teams, the min 1st place cash prize awarded will be $600.

5man D2/D3
This division has 9 teams at the time of this posting. This division will run and will follow the same prize guidelines as the 7man division. Right now the prize package is up to $1500. However, if 3 more teams sign up to make it 12, then the full cash prize will be awarded.

people realize that when teams see team lists with teams that are paid it attracts them to ALSO want to play.

Honestly for 7man it is not really worth to play even w full cash prize... we are looking at minimum to shoot 30 cases for 1st place. That’s $1200 bucks and plus $400 entry... so, u are making only $900 bucks and no one guarantees that to you. It is hard to attract teams to play the event where you can make that little money with that much risk losing it. what if we had $5000 cash prize or at least $4000? maybe a lot more 7man team show up? before when gpl used to give egos for 1st place, it was a lot more teams ( of course and economy was better). But it is not making economical sense to play 7 man anymore. You invest $1600 to make $900. Not bashing the league. Just making a suggestion that is coming from 7man team. We love playing gpl, but it is just too costly now.
