One positive change in the NPPL this year

Having all the divisions and groups playing in two hour sections is a big improvement to the league. It makes the games a lot easier to watch and to also follow in scoring. You dont have those jumps froma semi pro game to a d3 one.

For the players is this a positive or a negative? Does having all your games in a two hour span help or hurt?

there's pros and cons to it. Didnt have to play til 12 30, but we had a game with literally a 5 minute break

I love it. We play later, and get our games done with fast.

I love it too...BUT major major major setback

We all know paintballs are usually broke...theres no free parking, fine thats normal. But having all the games grouped up we only play for an hour and ahalf, so paying 15 bucks for all day parking(only if you stay there) wasnt smart. but 3 dollars in quarters got my 2 hours on the meter but you wanna stick around and such so it came to 6 for 4 hours.

When the kids wanted to watch the pros play i ran out of quarters and the people holding the tournament looked at me like "wtf quarters". idk wasnt a REAL big deal but kinda hard to focus on playing when you have to worry about that stuff..not to mention it takes 10 mins to walk to your car and 15 mins in between games.

I loved how efficient the games were run. Felt nice not having to wear my gear all day.

it was good and bad playing like that. luckily we had some support staff (wives, gfs/parents etc) capable of keeping things ready, pods loaded and extra equipment in case. i know a lot of teams are broke, and most of the time we dont travel with this many people as a lot of people cant afford to bring the other people, so if that were the case, it would have been rough. was nice to be able to get in, get done, get out, but on the other hand, i kind of enjoy having at least a couple minutes to sit down, drink some water, discuss what happened and go back and play.
my only real ***** about the tournament thus far has been the lack of assigned staging. makes things rough for everyone but the first morning teams. and it being almost 9pm and we still do not know if 5-3 was good enough to wake up early tomorrow.

Getting the ID cards was my only complaint. nothing to bad, but being in the corner was a bad location for it. Schedule was awesome, getting done with prelims before 11 was great. overall, excellent event.

it was a better ran event all around, but isn't near the size and speculation of previous hb events.

I didn't like how both 2 days in a row our first games were right after 7, I don't mind one day like that, but 2 in a row doesn't make sense...why not switch it so the afternoon players have to play in the morning as well? Blah
