i might get an 08 vicious ego.. does it even need a new board?? (i know its preference and **** like that, but do they get worn easily/old/outdated)

Stock boards on egos are great. I have an 06 and i have had no problems with it and like it.

Stay with the stock board, I'm picking up a ninja vicious this weekend and was deciding about getting a virtue board but decided to stick with the stock board. I had virtue boards/upgrade boards for both my mini/etek when i had them and bascially i just wasted money.. even with those boards your still only going to use the same settings. Stay with the stock board, you wont waste any money that way

recently bought a tadao for my 05, but will be using stock on my 08.

Quite simply, if you only need semi-auto and ramping, then there is absolutely no need to replace the board (unless broken of course). The stock board has all the features and adjustments you are ever likely to need, bar the fact that it has none of the recreational modes, and no NXL Auto, because those modes are illegal in the UK.
