.50 cal thread=Flaming and trolls all around! Woo Hoo!!!
My honest to gawsh take on it though, is that who cares if people use it! I use .68, but I've considered buying a .50 cal kit for my Etek. It's probably only good for xball, things like that, I personally wouldn't play .50 cal in the woods unless it's a Barrett sniper rifle, with real bullets.
but believe me, there are it's ups and downs. Ups: Cheaper paint, for the price of 2000 rounds of .68 cal, I get 4000 .50 cal rounds. Lighter gun, if you like to run fast, you don't want a 2 pound gun weighing you down. Hoppers and pods can hold more paint: My friend uses .50 cal, and he went 5 games off 4 full pods. Better for rentals: Cheaper in the long run, paint is cheaper, doesn't hurt as much, so rentals will come back and buy their own guns sooner or later, woo hoo. Very air efficient. Downs: Range is trash. Balls don't break as easily. Believe me, this isn't my idea of a great "revolution" but at least it will help. Now please end this tomfoolery.
