marker FAIL - Need cleaning tips

i talked a lady here at the office into getting her kids paintball markers for christmas last year. they used em for a few months and then stuck em in a closet. fast forward to this year and they wanna play again, problem is the markers are all packed with busted paint. got all of them cleaned but one and it is a diaster. i have NEVER seen a maker with this much caked on/baked on paint. any advise on how to clean it or some chemicals that might help?

please dont flame me, i didnt find much aside from regular cleaning methods using the search feature and im just trying to do a good deed here...

if it's a cheap marker like a spyder I'd just say replace it, can you tell where the paint is and what gun? Pics would help

i think a spyder would be a step up from this marker. she has 4 kids that play so she went cheap on the markers, it's a stryker.

Oh, then it's probably not worth the effort of cleaning, it's plastic right?

Don't throw it out because it's dirty. Talk about wasteful.

I'd just buy a 20-pack of those cheap red shop cloths (if you don't have some old T-shirts or socks or underwear you were going to throw out later), a little bowel of warm water, and start rubbing. Go easy on the water until you've gotten off all the junk you can with a dry rag.

Run the barrels under the sink with hot water, or soak in a bucket if necessisary. Ditto with the hoppers.

Do you know how to re-build a Spyder? All the Stryker guns are Spyder-based, more or less, so it's fairly easy to pull out the internals, check the hammer O-ring, re-oil and re-install.

Also, got any pics of these filthy things?
