Watch yourself in the Navy recuiting office bc if you make your numbers too high they will forget you said the letters CTN and here MMN or ETN. Recuiters get 2 people toward there quote for the month for every nuclear type they get and will push it on anyone who is qualified. While it has 100% automatic advancement to E-4 and if you STAR reenlist for 2 extra years automatic advancement to E-5. It is not anything like you want. We all use computers for normal admin crap i.e. training, maintence tracking, ordering parts, studying, and procedures. Even our ET (electronic techs) don't really get into the fun stuff they are more theory guys stand alone computer maintence not make a computer do sneaky sneak stuff. Also, if you work in the nuclear field you will especially on subs work recockuless amount of hours compared to some other rates in the navy. So to recap don't get talked into nuclear program stick your CTN guns.

If you're still in high school, or you're only a year into college, I HIGHLY recommend Air Force ROTC. Going through officer training is the way to go. I suggest Air Force over Navy and Marines because they have endless computer technical jobs. Satellites, Missile Control, Air Traffic Control, etc etc etc.

If not Air Force, try Army. Marines and Navy is just not the way to go. No offense to my fellow servicemen in those branches.

And just what do you know about either there zoomie? If your going to tell a kid.. who hasn't posted in his own thread for a while.. that you don't think another service is worth joining at least give us some reasons so we can flame you appropriately. Right now all I can say is you know dick about the Navy or Marines and Ild place a fair wager that you don't know much about the AF either.

And you know what else is a good option to look into too:

COLLEGE MOTHER ****ER!

Pros:

* Don't wear uniforms
* Chicks are hot as **** and abundant
* You get to get drunk and smoke pot all the time
* You can go home whenever the **** you want
* Do great and you can make six figures when you get out
* Not completely filled with raging d-bags with inferiority complex's

Cons:
* You're probably gonna live on easy mac and ramen noodles for some time....but hey! That's why MRE's are available to the public (best of both worlds.)

There's a large risk of sodomy in both branches.

If you want to work with computers, neither of those are good choices.

For computers, it basically goes like this:

#1: Chair force
#2: Army
#3: Navy
#4: Marines

I would. I'm of the opinion that this thread should die, because the OP hasn't even seen the replies....

and "tactical maneuvers using satellites"....I've done that before....I called in sick at work, when I really wasn't sick, and didn't get caught.
