I forgot to mention I'm a JV player
but I took over 30-35 faceoffs, 50% of my losses were because of my mistakes on putting my shoulder over the neck of my head or putting a finger on the neck by accident or just being a douche and doing the two finger head grab or stupid teamates stepping over the wing line before the wistke or blah blah

and on a sad sad side note... The Thomas Johnson paitriots varsity lax squad is now 5-1

Oh I gotcha, I've probably taken around 20 in 3 games I think I've won like 13-15, if only they finished the work on the ihsla website and they could update our stats I'd tell you for sure.

Also why the tits do public schools and private schools play in different leagues/championships in maryland. That bugs me.

well private can recruit which makes them rediculously better than everyone else for the most part except like MIAA-c teams whoa ll blow

we also have seperate playoffs/championships for 1a/2a, and 3a/4a public schools

and we lost to westminster, we got raped we played so friggin bad i have yet to see anyone on my team play as bad as we did last night in any game, practice, scrimage, goofing around in a buddys backyard

Private schools can recruit here too we take care of it differently though. I'll use football because it's the best example. In Illinois for football we have 8 classes (1A-8A) and therefore 8 different state playoffs that include public schools and private schools.

Private schools here recruit heavily for football, take the school St. Rita for instance, rita is an all boys football powerhouse with 729 kids. With that size they would be competing in 4A for football and would plow through the class every year. Therefore because they are an all boys school and a private school the IHSA multiplies their enrollment so they have to play in a class with public schools with 2500 kids.

It's a better system than seperating everyone imo

I forgot to also specify, did you win the faceoff AND get the first possession or did you just win on the clamp and rake out part? Becasue that gets factored in too, which is where most people who ARE good at facing off get their percentages down.

However, i always had a groundball machine on my left wing, so i hardly ever raked it to myself when i would face off

Westminsters goalie is tight, im good friends with him he played paintball at PAP for a few years with me.

Win faceoff and get first possession on the 88, my record keeper doesnt factor in the clamp and rakes, its first team to have possesion.

fyi we dont recruit as much as people think we do, our teams just back up their ****. when a program is playing for a state championship almost every year that is a huge part in a young athletes decision. But look at all the competition for good players us, carmel, br rice even marist all “fighting” for the same talent to keep programs going
that is how most of the ccl does most of its recruting for football, baseball and hockey
now thats not saying that we dont recruit great tallent but it is not done the same as people would think
