Also I would suggest removing the reg ahead of time, otherwise expect damage.
This does not sound right but then again I have only had mine directly through Universal and none of the local shops. When Universal did mine I was $27 I believe, my reg came back exactly as it was when I dropped it off. The turn around was about a week because the tester was being serviced. I would highly advise anyone to NOT take off their tank reg unless they know what they are doing; let a professional remove it in case there is any residual pressure still in the tank. Again this is just MY experience.
