All right, except heres the issue I'm facing now: First shot is fine. After that, immediate dropoff to nothing. I've figured out that I wasn't chopping balls, just getting multiples in the barrel causing breaks when it finally did shoot. Any clues?

And thanks guys for being so helpful. I realize I'm not a genius when it comes to teching, so it's very much appreciated.

Are the detents ok ? Multiple balls in the barrels sounds eather like a problem with the detents or a way overpressing loader.

Did you try the other things i told you yet?

Detents are fine. It's from a complete dropoff of velocity. Moving one ball forward inches just to get another one in behind it. Oh, and yes I have tried what you said.

Check and make sure that your asa is turned all the way in or try backing it off a little. They did have a few problems where it wasnt fully opening the tank.

Yeah, I checked that one already. All the way in. Thanks though. I would have felt a little slow after all this if that were the problem.

Sounds like the problem I had with my Ego. Have you tried a different bottle/regulator? My regulator was causing drop off, first shot was good, but then it went down to zero. And when I pressurized the marker again, the first shot was good, but then it dropped off...Changed the bottle regulator, and it worked fine.

Yea, mine gets weird drop off issues too, and the general consensus seems to be the tank regulator. I'm going tommorrow to get mine switched from 600(MP) to 850-900(HP)It may be the same bottle you used for the first few times, but my drop problems didnt start until maybe the 3rd time I played with my Geo.

have you tightened down the macro elbow on the reg swivel at all? if you do, you'll push the safety tee into the reg too far, and it won't have space to travel, and it will restrict airflow. Your first shot will have time to charge, but you'll experience significant drop off right away. This happened to me after parts swapping.

I played with that geo and tank for a month straight (I play every weekend, both days, for around eight hours) with no issues. So I'm thinking I can rule out the reg on the tank. Correct me if I'm wrong though. And no I have not tightened the elbow at all.

Yeah, you're right. Thanks for the help guys. I've put the gun down for the day. I gave PE a call, but no callback yet, so I figure it'll have to wait for tomorrow. Whatever it was, it has now turned into fullblown leak. I figure it's about time for me to put that legendary eclipse customer service to the test.

check to make sure the filter by the noid isnt pluged with dirt....also might want to check the asa and make sure that the pin isnt blocking the inlet and restricting air flow.

Already cleaned out the filter, it wasn't bad by any means but I figured why not. And no, the pin is not blocking.

You stated that you have turned the ASA on/off knob all the way in, but as ionuser2008 stated, have you from there tried turning the knob *out* 1/2 - 1 turn?

What can happen with some combinations of tank and ASA is that if you screw the ASA's degassing pin in too far, it actually blocks the air systems outlet port, restricting air flow. So, the marker fully gases up as you screw in the ASA knob, but then the pin stops any more air flowing. So you get a good shot - from the initial gasing up - but then slow re-charge due to the restricted flow from the tank.

That is exactly what I was about to say... good job!!!

Try:
-Relube everything properly and tighten back the prop shaft properly.
-Change battery
-reset the board to stock and then readjust your settings.
-Dwell 12.5 with GST 14.5.
-Zero out hpr.
-With a full tank, bring gun up to chrono speed you desire.

I tried that while still at the field before I went about bothering you guys. Any more work will have to be done later, as I am now out of air from trying to work on it (it now leaks like a sieve) and out of paint, and especially patience. Thanks for all the help, but I think this might be one to send out.

Correct and as such is nothing to be worried about.

Morning, this past weekend was Easter in the UK and as such no one has been at work Friday-Monday, so apologies for the delay in seeing this thread. 99% of drop-off issues are usually simple fixes in that they can be attributed to:
- Tank (what brand and output are you using?)
- Battery (non-Alkaline, naff 99c job in a $1250 marker!)
- Incorrect settings (dwell too low for example)

So with all of the above in mind, can you please tell me the following:
- Have you registered your marker for Warranty? If so under what name and what is the serial number of the marker?
- If not, DO IT!!!!
- Do you have a GST Kit installed? If so have you tried replacing the stock internals and seeing how the marker performs?

Once i have this info i'll gladly assist you further.

Nicky T

Thanks for getting back me. I use a guerilla air hp 48/45 with it (myth reg). As for batteries, I have tried duracell and the energy paintball kind. I have registered it under Bobby Rawls and the serial number is 02764. I do have the gst kit and have not tried the stock internals. I am out of air to test it now, though.
