Microrock Spiking

I've got a palmer microrock on my 2k3 mechanical cocker and lately it's been spiking pretty bad, almost like it's not regulating at all. I put some oil into the reg, but no luck it keeps spiking. So I want to take it apart to check the orings however I'm having a hard time opening it. I took off the adjustment screw and the screw connects the reg to the front block. However, to unscrew the cap from the body do I hold the cap then turn the body clockwise or counter clockwise?

thanks.

to dis-assemble a standard micro-rock you take it off the marker, take out the adjustment screw on the front first. then if you are replacing the valve seal you take out the stem that connects to the front block, and the spring/piston/seal should come out. to take out the plunger and service the o-ring you hold the cap on the rear of the LPR and spin the front counter clockwise to unscrew it. inside should be the plunger, spring, and spacer that the adjustment screw hits. generally you would only lube the o-rings with synthetic palmer gun oil, or similar paintball oil.
