UL barrel issue

the threads are coming off the back...

it sounds weird, but the threads appear to be tapped onto the back of the barrel and the sleeve with the AC tread seems to be slowly backing off, has this happened to anyone else?

Looks like a re-threaded barrel. Meaning it was damaged before or used to be a different type of threading. Not a factory defect or machining job.

Where did you get the barrel from?

All the UL barrels Ive used have the threads machined onto the barrel, IE all one peice of metal.. not a sleeve that fits over the top. Looks like someone fitted some sort of thread adapter onto a machined down back

I've never had a problem with First Call and I've never heard of a store selling rethreaded barrels. Usually people have it done at a machine shop if they switch marker brands but want to keep their old barrel (lots of Angel threaded barrels around, not a lot of Angel users)

Either way, you could fix the barrel you have. If the sleeve is threaded on to the barrel, screw it on all the way, or take it off, apply permanent loctite and screw it on. If it isn't threaded, remove it, rub some high strength epoxy on the inside and slide it back on and let it sit for a day.
