At first, sure. but once youve been on for it a while and youre really starting to push your limits it gets more difficult. I usually hit my 1+ for 3-5 reps.
What assistance are you doing?

Just made some AWESOME butternut squash.

1 butternut squash
2 cans chicken stock + 1 filled with water
1/2 cup onion sliced
lil' bit of butter.
nutmeg, pepper, salt to taste.

Put butter/onions into t pot - cook onions till translucent.
Add in chicken stock/squash cubes.
Cook for 15-20 minutes.
Remove cubes, blend into puree
Put back into stock
season to taste
eat.

Next week i want to test my deadlift max. I want to try for 265 and possibly 285. Can someone suggest a low volume warmup scheme. I have never trained for DLs before.

If I were you, i'd do

SLDL 135x5, then go conventional and do 185x3, 225x1, and go for your max.
