Under Armor
Just a quick q, does under armor count as one of your two layers or is it omitted because it is skin tight and provides no bounce factor?

hmm... thats a good question.. Usually I dont get in any trouble for wearing UA, a t-shirt, and jersey... but I'm not sure.

all it says is one shirt and then your jersey... so i guess it is considered a layer..

that's pretty lame. UA provides almost no advantage besides keeping a player cooler as opposed to another. I can honestly say im pretty dissapointed.

to my knowledge UA dose not count as a layer but if its an issue its really going to depend on what series you play. But i have seen refs just pull people for layering if its an issue just do the UA and jersey

Just find a head referee and ask him. That'd be the easiest way to go.

Yes it counts as a layer at PSP's. I have had to remove a layer because of under armour. At local tournaments, people rarely care or enforce that rule.

Since we are on the topic of layers.
A bounce shirt... Such as my PE overlord. Does this count as a layer. I see many people wear a bounce shirt a t shirt and a jersey.. What's typically "official"?

Imo, I don't think it's considered a layer, i've wore wife beaters under my jersey and t-shirt in every tournament i've participated in.

then you've never been checked. there is no opinion about it. If a Ref checked you on a PSP field you would be asked to remove a shirt.IF you didn't they would assess penalties after that.
At the PSP. you are allowed two total layers, including a jersey. IE underlayer and one jersey. under armor counts. Ive asked the head ref at everysingle field Ive played on, over 6 events, Every signle one said under armor is a layer.About chest pads: What I was told by my head ref at PHX was that If your jersey contains no supplementary padding, a bounce vest is allowed, and counts as your under layer.

I played all last season with the under armor and a shirt then jersey. Tim ( psp's head reff) said it does not count as a layer. If they checked you and told you to take it off then you or some one must have pissed off the reff on that field.

Thats honestly idiotic. UA provides NO bounce at all...I guess we should just live with more people overheating like they did at cup last year >_<
