MTAC problems

Hey all, I have an MTAC w/ the supercharger bolt. I do not know the bob long guns very well. I am seeing some serious first shot drop off. Usually at least 2-10 balls will only go about 20 feet and then the gun will take off. I relubed everything and played with the hpr and lpr a bit but I am not sure how much I should mess with them. Any suggestions and instruction is definately appreciated.

LPR was around 75 psi and the hpr was around 240 when I started. I had to drop the hpr down to ? due to field fps limits of 270.

im willing to bet u lubed the bolt head with dow 55. everything on the gun needs dow55 but the bolt head. Take off the orings on the bolt, wipe it clean. Put brand new o rings on and apply dow tr-flow oil. and only tri-flow oil

K, I will replace those two 015 orings on the pillow bolt and just oil them. I cant remember if I used the dow on them or not, probably did . I will reset the regs to factory. Is it beneficial at all to try and tweak the gun a bit with the LPR. I can fine tune my DM's but not sure if the Bob Long will react the same. Thanks.

if u can tune a dm then a marq would be a cake walk. mostly just takes time and a chrono.

the oil will take care of the drop off. If not, up the dwell 2ms. If u really want to be the cats ***, get a tadao board with first shot drop off protection. wont have to worry about it again

On the DM, tweaking the lpr can give me a softer shot but if I go to low it can definately affect the operartion of the marker, I assume it is the same on the mtac or does the lpr on bob's guns have to be precise.

more or less yeah. Just set it to 75-80 psi and HPR to chrono. If u wanna tweak it try 65-70. and hpr to chrono. every marker is diffrent but too low and it will make that HPR way too high to get 300fps.

cool, thanks for your help. I got the Mtac dialed in now, Working great. However one more question for ya if you dont mind. After I use the Mtac, Lpr is 80psi and HRP is set to 270fps. I can shoot it as much as I want and it works great but when I am done I turn the marker off and set it down, if I leave the air connected and wait at least 5 minutes then try to use the marker again it will not fire, the marker will click but wont fire until I remove the air, degass the marker and then reinstall the air and then it works again. I took the marker apart and relubed the bolt, lpr and hpr as per specs. any idea.

I also just noticed when it is doing this the board is flashing orange. When I first fire it up it is blinking blue but as soon as I pull the trigger it flashes orange whether I try to turn the eyes on or off.

battery was replaced a few times, and if the eyes were malfuncioning, would it not fire if I turned the eyes off. Even when I try to turn the eyes off it still flashes orange. I am thinking the noid though cause if I degass the marker and then fire it up again it will work until I let it sit for a bit.
